Steam has begun its summer sale on its digital storefront but what should you spend your money on? Here are 10 games you might want to consider

Steam’s annual Summer sale is now underway (June 24 – July 8) and as per the norm there are thousands of games available at a heavy discount. The problem is scrounging through the vast array of titles can be annoying. To make things easier for you, here are ten games for you to consider spending your money on.

  The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Sure CDPR’s image has taken quite a hit after the disastrous launch of Cyberpunk 2077. Yet, despite its vast array of problems (both?technical?and fundamental) there is no denying that is there is a certain charm to the world and its filled with interesting characters with strong writing to flesh them out.

For many, their first glimpse at CDPR’s writing chops was with The Witcher 3. This is the game that put the studio on the map and is heralded as one of the best games ever released. It isn’t without its problems, it’s combat is clunky and the movement mechanics aren’t very intuitive but if you can look past that, you will find an excellent story and tons of interesting side missions that leave a lasting impression.

You can pick up the Game of the Year edition, that includes both the expansions, for Rs 199, an absolute steal in my opinion.

  Red Dead Redemption 2

As far as open-world action/adventure titles go, Red Dead Redemption 2 is probably the closest it comes to perfect. The landscapes are beautiful, the story is rich and the gameplay is finely tuned. It is also filled with so much to do that you will need an entire lifetime to find everything that Rockstar has managed to squeeze into this game. You can pick up the Ultimate Edition for Rs 3,119 or the standard edition for Rs 2,143.

  Borderlands: The Handsome Collection

The original looter shooter franchise is on a massive sale at the moment and you can pick up every game released up to Borderlands 3 for just Rs 741. This includes Borderlands 1, Borderlands 2 and The pre-sequel all in one package and with all of their add on content. You can also pick up Borderlands 3: Super Deluxe Edition during the sale for? for Rs 1,332.

  Tomb Raider Collection

Each and every game that is part of the Tomb Raider franchise can now be bought for Rs 313. Yup! Even the newer ones and all the classic ones in one package, with all of the add-on content as well.

  Control: Ultimate Edition

Remedy’s overlooked tale of a sister trying to find her brother deserves a place in every game library. In true Remedy style, there is horror, intrigue and a great story that keeps you glued to the very end. The gameplay is fast, fluid and most importantly fun. Oh and did I mention the dimension phasing old house? Pick it up for Rs 1,199.

  Mafia Trilogy

If you are a fan of crime and mob dramas, then Mafia should be right up your alley. You can pick up the entire trilogy for Rs 1,814. This includes the remastered editions of all three games.

  Quantic Dream Collection

If you are someone who plays games casually and prefers to enjoy story without the pressure of combat, then maybe one of Quantic Dream’s interactive saga’s will appeal to you. The collection includes three of the best reviewed games in the studios portfolio – Beyond Two Souls, Heavy Rain and Detroit Become Human. You can pick up the collection for Rs 1,477.

Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition

If you prefer games that aren’t afraid to give you an insane challenge then Nioh 2 is probably one of the hardest games ever made. It doesn’t hold your hand and is not afraid of throwing big baddies at you when you barely know how to hold your katana. It has an extremely polished combat system that takes influences from the soulslike games and adds a little of its own unique touches on top. Pick it up for Rs 1,199.

  Persona 4 Golden

In my opinion, one of the best JRPG’s ever made. If this is your first Persona game, be ready for a truly unique experience unlike anything else. Pick it up for Rs 675.

  The Deus Ex Collection Bundle

If your experience with Cyberpunk 2077 soured?you on the ‘Cyberpunk’? genre, then here is a series that shows its true potential when done right. The Deus Ex franchise is home to some of the most beloved sci-fi RPGs ever released. You can pick up every game in the franchise for Rs 267.
