¡¡¡¡UTEP: Special teams coordinator Joe Robinson has retired, and Northern Arizona running backs coach/special teams coordinator Aaron Price has been hired to fill the spot. Price, the son of former UTEP head coach Mike Price, was on the Miners staff from 2004-12.
¡¡¡¡Arkansas State: Special teams coordinator Steve Hauser has stepped down and taken a position outside of football, he announced on Twitter. Hauser joined the staff in January from Iowa State.
¡¡¡¡Iowa: Former Iowa quarterback and current St. Thomas More School (CT) head coach Jason Manson has joined Iowa as director of player development.
¡¡¡¡Charlotte: West Virginia senior special teams analyst Tyler Hancock is expected to join the Charlotte staff as special teams coordinator, a person with knowledge of the situation tells The Athletic¡¯s Chris Vannini. ¡¡¡¡Houston: Director of player development Daikiel Shorts has been promoted to wide receivers coach and will hold the role through the fall, a person with knowledge of the situation confirms to The Athletic¡¯s Chris Vannini. Shorts has been on staff for two years and played receiver for Dana Holgorsen at West Virginia.
¡¡¡¡Michigan: Offensive coordinator Josh Gattis has signed a one-year extension through 2022 with a $100,000 raise to $1 million in 2022. In addition, new defensive backs coach Steve Clinkscale will earn at least $600,000 annually on a three-year deal.
¡¡¡¡Buffalo: Rice recruiting analyst Daniel Gaine is expected to join Buffalo as defensive recruiting coordinator.

¡¡¡¡Houston: Wide receivers coach Tyron Carrier is no longer on staff, the school announced. Carrier had been on staff since 2019 and previously worked under Dana Holgorsen at West Virginia.
¡¡¡¡Akron: Former Kansas senior offensive analyst John Morookian has joined Akron as tight ends coach. Morookian spent part of 2020 as KU¡¯s interim offensive line coach.
¡¡¡¡Duke: Nina King has been promoted to athletic director. She was previously Duke¡¯s senior deputy director of athletics for administration and legal affairs and chief of staff and has been at Duke for 13 years.
¡¡¡¡Ohio State: Athletic director Gene Smith will receive an extension through 2026 and earn $2.06 million per year, according to The Athletic¡¯s Bill Landis.
¡¡¡¡Kansas: Lance Leipold has added Buffalo wide receivers coach Rob Ianello as general manager and retained linebackers coach Jordan Peterson as senior defensive analyst. In addition, Michael Painter (director of football operations), Grant Murray (director of player personnel) and Taiwo Onatolu (senior special teams analyst) have also joined KU from Buffalo.
¡¡¡¡Michigan: Vanderbilt on-campus recruiting coordinator Christina DeRuyter has joined the Michigan staff as director of on-campus recruiting and operations.
¡¡¡¡Alabama: Offensive analyst Tino Sunseri has joined the James Madison staff as quarterbacks coach.
¡¡¡¡Central Michigan: Defensive line coach Justin Hinds has joined the Western Carolina staff as defensive coordinator.
¡¡¡¡Buffalo: Minnesota assistant strength coach Jeremy Cole has joined Buffalo as head strength coach.

¡¡¡¡Colgate: Head coach Dan Hunt is leaving to ¡°address personal issues¡± following a ¡°violation of university policy not involving students,¡± the school announced. Hunt had been with the program since 1995 and had been the head coach since 2014. Associate head coach Stan Dakosty will serve as interim head coach for 2021.
¡¡¡¡Buffalo: UMass defensive tackles coach Cedric Douglas will join the UB staff as defensive line coach/run game coordinator, according to Yahoo Sports.
¡¡¡¡Buffalo: Former Marshall wide receivers coach Dallas Baker has joined the UB staff in the same role, according to his Twitter account. In addition, Georgia quality control assistant Rod Ojong is expected to join as safeties coach, and Campbell cornerbacks coach DeAndre Thompson is expected to join as cornerbacks coach, according to Yahoo Sports.
¡¡¡¡Notre Dame: Brian Kelly made $2,560,144 during the 2019 school reporting period, according to Notre Dame¡¯s tax return, although that number is likely much higher.
¡¡¡¡Reads one part of the return: ¡°During calendar year 2019, the university made payments to an LLC owned by the head football coach, which are not reportable compensation for purposes of Form 990. ¡¡¡¡Buffalo: James Madison offensive coordinator Shane Montgomery will become the offensive coordinator at Buffalo, according to ESPN and the Daily News-Record. Montgomery spent two years at JMU.
¡¡¡¡Kansas: Lance Leipold has completed his coaching staff. He retained defensive line coach Kwahn Drake, cornerbacks coach Chevis Jackson, wide receivers coach Emmett Jones, special teams coordinator Jacob Schoonover and running backs coach Jonathan Wallace. ¡¡¡¡Buffalo: Head coach Maurice Linguist¡¯s contract is a 4.5-year deal through 2025 with an annual salary of $675,000, according to the Buffalo News. The buyout if Linguist leaves starts at $1.5 million in 2021.

¡¡¡¡Buffalo: Michigan co-defensive coordinator/cornerbacks coach Maurice Linguist has been hired as Buffalo¡¯s new head coach. The 37-year-old Linguist arrived at Michigan this winter after spending the 2020 season as the Dallas Cowboys¡¯ cornerbacks coach. Linguist was an assistant at Buffalo from 2012-13 and spent the 2018 and ¡¯19 seasons on the Texas A&M staff.
¡¡¡¡SMU: Special teams coordinator Chris Brasfield is leaving to pursue full-time ministry in September. He will serve as a senior analyst until then, and current analyst Kenny Perry is expected to be promoted to special teams coordinator.
¡¡¡¡Presbyterian: Pulaski Acadamy (Ark.) head coach Kevin Kelley is the new head coach at Presbyterian. Kelley is known as the high school coach who never punts and always onside kicks, won nine state championships.
¡¡¡¡Wake Forest: Georgia Southern director of on-campus recruiting Jalyn Ballein has joined Wake Forest as assistant to the head coach/on-campus recruiting coordinator.
¡¡¡¡Akron: Wisconsin-Green Bay athletic director Charles Guthrie has been named athletic director at Akron.
¡¡¡¡Washington State: Athletic director Pat Chun has received a one-year extension through 2026.
¡¡¡¡Kansas: Buffalo assistants expected to join Lance Leipold at KU include Rob Ianello, Brian Borland, Andy Kotelnicki, Chris Simpson, Jim Zebrowski, Scott Fuchs and Taiwo Onatolu, with roles yet to be determined, according to Yahoo Sports. Leipold went 37-33 in six seasons at Buffalo, including 24-10 in the past three years and an AP No. 25 finish in 2020. He previously won six Division III national championships in eight years at Wisconsin-Whitewater.
¡¡¡¡Southern: Former NFL running back Marshall Faulk is a candidate for the Southern head coaching job and the sides have had conversations, according to NFL Network¡¯s Ian Rapoport.
¡¡¡¡Western Carolina: Former Valdosta State head coach and USF offensive coordinator Kerwin Bell has been named head coach at WCU. Bell won a Division II national championship at Valdosta State in 2018.

¡¡¡¡Wisconsin: Head coach Paul Chryst has received an annual one-year extension to his five-year contract, which now goes through 2025.
¡¡¡¡Notre Dame: Richmond tight ends coach Trevor Mendelson has joined the Notre Dame staff in an off-field role working with the offensive line. Mendelson spent one spring season at Richmond and previously worked at Wake Forest.
¡¡¡¡UCF: Arkansas director of offensive personnel Jesse Stone is expected to join the UCF staff, according to 247Sports.
¡¡¡¡West Virginia: Head coach Neal Brown has received a two-year extension through 2026. His average yearly salary will be $3.9 million, (Brown earned $2.95 million in 2020 with a pandemic cut) and the assistant salary pool has increased to $4 million, up from $3.7 million.
¡¡¡¡Temple: Quarterbacks coach Craig Harmon has resigned, and The Philadelphia Inquirer reports analyst Jake Landry is expected to be promoted to the role, though the move is not yet official. Harmon spent two years on staff and previously worked with Rod Carey at Northern Illinois. Landry is also entering his third season at Temple and worked at NIU.
¡¡¡¡Florida Atlantic: Former NFL wide receiver Hines Ward is expected to join the FAU staff in an off-field coaching role, a person with knowledge of the situation tells The Athletic¡¯s Chris Vannini. ¡¡¡¡Presbyterian: Head coach Tommy Spangler has been dismissed. Spangler went 12-28 in four years in his second stint leading the program, including 4-3 this spring and ending with a three-game winning streak. He previously went 42-24 from 2001-06.
¡¡¡¡Norfolk State: Southern head coach Dawson Odums has accepted the same position at Norfolk State. Odums went 63-35 in nine seasons, winning four division title and one SWAC championship.
¡¡¡¡NC State: Director of recruiting Merci Falaise has been promoted to director of player personnel, and the recruiting staff has added Quint Cottingham (assistant director of player personnel ¨C offense) and Corey Phillips (director of scouting).
¡¡¡¡Temple: Former player Chris Smith has joined the staff as assistant director of player personnel.
¡¡¡¡Washington: St. John Bosco High School (Calif.) assistant Colin Lockett has joined UW as a defensive quality control assistant.

¡¡¡¡Auburn: Former Arkansas head coach and Auburn offensive coordinator Chad Morris has been named head coach at Allen High School, a Texas powerhouse. Morris was previously a Texas high school coach from 1994-2009.
¡¡¡¡Wake Forest: Jordan Reid, Kevin Snyder and Ben Thaw have been hired as graduate assistants. Reid, a former 1,000-yard receiver at Ohio University, had been an offensively quality control coach for the Demon Deacons in 2020. Snyder, a former Rutgers linebacker, was a player development assistant with the Scarlet Knights in 2020. Thaw was captain at Wesleyan before joining the Deacs as a recruiting intern in 2020.
¡¡¡¡Florida: Former UCF cornerbacks coach Corey Bell has rejoined the Florida staff as assistant director of player personnel (high school relations). Bell, a former Florida high school coach, worked at UF in 2017.
¡¡¡¡Nevada: Analyst Riccardo Stewart has been promoted to defensive backs coach. In addition, defensive coordinator Brian Ward will move from linebackers to defensive tackles, safeties coach Ronnie Wheat will move to linebackers and defensive line coach Jackie Shipp will coach the defensive ends.
¡¡¡¡Arizona State: San Jose State director of player personnel Ghalee Wadood is joining Arizona State as director of player development, a person with knowledge of the situation tells The Athletic¡¯s Chris Vannini. Wadood spent five months at SJSU, where he played, and he went 23-5 in two seasons as Adelanto High School (Calif.) head coach from 2019-20.
¡¡¡¡Akron: Army director of recruiting Mike Daniels will join the Akron staff as running backs coach, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer and FootballScoop. Daniels spent a month at Army and was previously a high school coach in the Cincinnati area. In addition, former Tennessee analyst Jeremiah Wilson will join Akron as defensive backs coach, according to?AL.com
¡¡¡¡FIU: Former Fordham head coach Andrew Breiner is joining the FIU staff as offensive coordinator. Breiner spent 2020 as the Philadelphia Eagles pass game analyst after two years as Mississippi State¡¯s quarterbacks coach.
¡¡¡¡Alabama: Special assistant to the head coach Todd Watson has been elevated to an on-field role for spring practice following the departure of tight ends coach/special teams coordinator Jay Graham. In a statement explaining his departure, Graham wrote on Twitter, ¡°The events of the past year have taken a toll on millions of people around the world, not just the loss of loved ones or lost jobs but in the unprecedented anxieties and mental health.?I am taking time away from football to seek professional help immediately, gain a better understanding of mental health and spend time with loved ones. I hope to rebalance my life so that I am able to return to my passion of coaching and helping student-athletes pursue their dreams.?While mental health issues are not new, they are often difficult to discuss, especially for coaches/athletes. ¡¡¡¡Louisiana Tech: Los Angeles Rams scouting apprentice Sherman Wilson has joined Louisiana Tech as director of recruiting.
¡¡¡¡Wake Forest: Aly Cramond (football operations assistant), Chris Osgood (assistant director of football operations) and Alex Valles (recruiting assistant) have been hired onto Wake Forest¡¯s staff, and Ben Baker (video coordinator) was promoted. Cramond and Valles had been interns with the Demon Deacons before being hired, while Osgood worked as a student assistant. Baker was most recently assistant director of football operations/director of creative video.
¡¡¡¡Wisconsin: Gary Brown has been named Wisconsin¡¯s running backs coach. Brown had been running backs coach with the Dallas Cowboys from 2013-19.
¡¡¡¡Kentucky: Defensive backs coach Steve Clinkscale has been elevated to defensive passing game coordinator, and inside linebackers coach Jon Sumrall has been elevated to co-defensive coordinator.
¡¡¡¡Nevada: San Diego wide receivers coach Chad Savage has joined Nevada as tight ends coach. Savage was a Nevada graduate assistant from 2018-19. Previous tight ends coach Timmy Chang is expected to move to wide receivers.
¡¡¡¡UCLA: Ryan McNamee has joined UCLA as assistant director of football operations.
¡¡¡¡Alabama: New tight ends and special teams coach Jay Graham has resigned his position effective immediately, per a statement from the school. Sources told?The Athletic¡¯s Aaron Suttles on Tuesday evening that Graham was expected to no longer be employed by Alabama by the end of the week.
¡¡¡¡Bowling Green: Cornerbacks coach Eric Lewis has been promoted to defensive coordinator. In addition, former Illinois special teams coordinator Bob Ligashesky has joined the BG staff as special teams coordinator, and UMass outside linebackers coach Cato June has joined the staff as outside linebackers coach/run game coordinator.
¡¡¡¡North Carolina: UNC has added Natrone Means as an offensive analyst. Means, a Tar Heels alumnus who played seven seasons in the NFL, was previously the offensive coordinator, assistant head coach and running backs coach at Fayetteville State.
¡¡¡¡Oregon: Purdue offensive line assistant Kirk Barron has joined the Oregon staff as a graduate assistant.
¡¡¡¡Wake Forest: The Demon Deacons have added Bryant Harper Jr. and Ken Knox to the sports performance staff. In addition, assistant strength coach Brendan Nave has been promoted to senior sports performance coordinator, and Nick Zinani has been promoted to assistant director of sports performance.
¡¡¡¡Louisiana Tech: Defensive analyst David Mackie has been promoted to safeties coach. Mackie is entering his second season on staff. In addition, defensive coordinator David Blackwell will take linebackers duties.
¡¡¡¡Boise State: Jalyn Baker has joined the staff as assistant director of sports performance.
¡¡¡¡Texas Tech: The Red Raiders have hired Jessica Hryn as director of on-campus recruiting. Hryn had spent the past two seasons in a similar capacity at Temple.
¡¡¡¡West Virginia: Former Penn State offensive coordinator Kirk Ciarrocca has joined the WVU staff as an offensive analyst.
¡¡¡¡North Carolina: Head coach Mack Brown has received a contract extension through 2025, and all 10 assistant coaches have three-year contracts. Wide receivers coach Lonnie Galloway has added the title of assistant head coach, and running backs coach Larry Porter has added assistant special teams coordinator duties.
¡¡¡¡Oregon: Inside linebackers coach Ken Wilson has received a new three-year contract worth $465,000 as part of his promotion to co-defensive coordinator, according to OregonLive.
¡¡¡¡South Carolina: Former fullback Patrick DiMarco has joined the Gamecocks as an analyst. He recently announced his retirement from playing in the NFL.
¡¡¡¡Illinois: Former defensive back Terry Hawthorne has joined the Illini staff as director of high school personnel and Illini relations. Hawthorne was recently the defensive backs coach at East St. Louis High School.
¡¡¡¡Ole Miss: Former South Carolina long snapper and graduate assistant Nick McGriff has joined Ole Miss as a special teams analyst.
¡¡¡¡Florida State: Mississippi State graduate assistant Tre Bell has joined Florida State as a defensive backs graduate assistant.
¡¡¡¡Kent State: Montana cornerbacks coach C.J. Cox has joined the Kent State staff in the same role. Cox spent three years at Montana.
¡¡¡¡Central Michigan: Former Michigan defensive backs coach Michael Zordich has joined the CMU staff in the same role. Zordich spent the last six years at Michigan. In addition, linebackers coach Tim Skipper has added the title of assistant head coach.
¡¡¡¡Boston College: Defensive backs coach Aazaar Abdul-Rahim has added the title of associate head coach.
¡¡¡¡Notre Dame: Former Michigan linebacker and analyst Mike McCray has joined the Notre Dame staff as a graduate assistant.
¡¡¡¡Iowa State: Matt Campbell¡¯s new contract includes a $4 million salary, plus a $250,000 bonus per win starting with the seventh win of a season, according to the Des Moines Register. The buyout if Campbell leaves for another job is $4 million at any point.
¡¡¡¡Illinois: Bret Bielema has hired Adam Kleffner (offense), Grant O¡¯Brien (defense) and Greg Froelich (special teams) as the Illini¡¯s analyst for 2021, joining previously announced senior analyst John Marinelli.
¡¡¡¡Mississippi State: Former Southern Miss head coach Jay Hopson has joined the Mississippi State staff as a defensive analyst.
¡¡¡¡Louisiana Lafayette: Tight ends coach Michael Desormeaux and wide receivers coach Tim Leger have been promoted to co-offensive coordinators.
¡¡¡¡Auburn: The contracts for Auburn assistants, according to copies obtained by The Athletic¡¯s Chris Vannini: defensive coordinator Derek Mason (two years, $1.5 million), offensive coordinator Mike Bobo (three years, $1.3 million), offensive line coach Will Friend (two years, $700,000), defensive line coach Nick Eason (two years, $700,000), inside linebackers coach Jeff Schmedding (two years, $500,000), outside linebackers/special teams coach Bert Watts (two years, $425,000), tight ends coach Brad Bedell (two years, $350,000), cornerbacks coach Zac Etheridge (two years, $315,000), wide receivers coach Cornelius Williams (two years, $300,000), running backs coach Cadillac Williams (one year, $350,000) and head strength coach Jeff Pittman (two years, $400,000).
¡¡¡¡Tennessee: UCF director of football operations Billy Ray Johnson has joined the Tennessee staff as special assistant to the head coach.
¡¡¡¡Kansas: Former KU player Darrell Stuckey has joined the staff as director of football relations. Stuckey has spent the past two years as a campus minister working with students and players.
¡¡¡¡Tulsa: Akron running backs coach Jayden Everett is expected to become the new running backs coach at Tulsa, sources told The Athletic¡¯s Bruce Feldman. Prior to that, Everett was the running backs coach at Central Michigan during the 2017 and 2018 seasons. The Golden Hurricane also added former Washington State safeties coach Kendrick Shaver to the same role. Previous safeties coach Carlton Buckels has moved to cornerbacks coach/defensive pass game coordinator.
¡¡¡¡Auburn: Head coach Bryan Harsin¡¯s contract is six-year deal worth $5 million in 2021 with $100,000 annual raises, according to a copy of the contract obtained by The Athletic¡¯s Chris Vannini. That¡¯s an average of $5.25 million. The buyout if Harsin is fired without cause is 70 percent of the remaining contract, which would be around $18.5 million after the first season, with no mitigation. The buyout if Harsin leaves for another job starts at $7 million in year one and drops to $5 million, then $3 million, dropping by $1 million each subsequent year. ESPN first reported the news.
¡¡¡¡Illinois: Bret Bielema announced the Illini¡¯s four graduate assistants for 2021, Carson Hall (offense), Taylor Reed (offense), Aaron Gonzales (defense) and Kevin Richardson (defense). Hall and Gonzales have been retained from Illinois¡¯ 2020 staff. Reed and Richardson played for Bielema at Arkansas.
¡¡¡¡Central Michigan: Northwood University co-offensive coordinator Eli Reinhart has joined the CMU staff, according to his Twitter account.
¡¡¡¡Texas A&M: Former South Alabama defensive line coach Harland Bower has joined the Texas A&M staff as a defensive analyst, a person with knowledge of the situation tells The Athletic¡¯s Chris Vannini. Bower spent the last three years at USA. FootballScoop first reported the news.
¡¡¡¡Memphis: Wide receivers coach John Simon has left the staff, a person with knowledge of the situation tells The Athletic¡¯s Chris Vannini. TigerSportsReport first reported the news.
¡¡¡¡Bowling Green: Defensive coordinator Brian VanGorder has retired from college football and joined the staff at Gulf Shores High School (Ala.) as defensive coordinator. VanGorder spent two years at BG. He was the defensive coordinator at schools like Auburn, Georgia and Notre Dame over his college coaching career, plus one season as Georgia Southern head coach.
¡¡¡¡Iowa: Former Iowa running back Ladell Betts will join the Iowa staff as running backs coach, according to Yahoo Sports. Betts played at Iowa from 1997-2001 and has been the head coach at Pine Crest School in Florida.
¡¡¡¡Indiana: East Carolina director of football operations Nina Baloun has joined the Indiana staff as assistant director of football operations.
